S.G.C.S is an exciting new school governor consultancy service. We provide expert training in all aspects of school governance. We also offer Governing Body reviews, advice and support through HT recruitment, preparing for Ofsted training and much more. We can cater for Local Authority Maintained Schools, both Stand Alone and Multi Academy Trusts, Free Schools, Grammar Schools and Independent Schools. We can also provide some of our services for nurseries and pre-school settings.

Strong governance is essential to ensuring successful educational outcomes since school governors and trustees, although volunteers, play a vital strategic role in holding school leaders to account through support, challenge and driving school improvement. With an increasing national emphasis on skilled, knowledgeable school governors and trustees who contribute to the effective governance and success of the school, it has never been more important to keep up to date with the latest legislation, guidance and good practice.

S.G.C.S staff can also attend one off or a number of governing body meetings to support your governing body and help it to improve where necessary. All S.G.C.S staff hold DBS certificates.
